Introduction

It is a moment of immense pride to share that my student Sneha has been selected to represent India at the World Athletics Relays 2026.

The competition will be held on May 2 and 3, 2026 at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone, marking a historic occasion as the event is being hosted in Africa.

Sneha will compete in the 4 by 100 metre relay, representing India on the global stage. This achievement reflects her dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work.

A Journey Built on Discipline and Structure

As her coach, I feel extremely proud to see her reach this international level.

Sneha's journey into the mainstream of Indian athletics has been built over the past four years through focused training and structured guidance under me. From developing her as a competitive sprinter to shaping her overall sports career, her progress reflects a disciplined and long-term approach to performance.

Beyond the track, her career development also includes securing a position in the Income Tax department, reflecting a well-rounded pathway combining sport and professional stability.

Performance Achievements

Under my coaching, Sneha has achieved the following milestones:

  • Gold medal at a World Continental Silver Level Championship in Taiwan
  • Silver medal at the Asian Championship in South Korea
  • Silver medal at a World Bronze Level Championship in Bhubaneswar
  • Gold medal at the National Games
  • All India University medals in 100 metre and 200 metre events
  • Khelo India medal
  • A total of 18 national medals
  • Personal best performance of 11.41 seconds in the 100 metre

A Landmark Moment

Today, seeing her step onto the world stage fills me with immense pride. She stands as the first athlete trained under me to compete at the senior world level.

Her journey is a strong example of what structured coaching, consistent effort, and long-term vision can achieve in Indian athletics.

Conclusion

Sneha's selection is not just an individual achievement but a reflection of a growing system of disciplined athlete development. It reinforces the importance of scientific training, patience, and sustained commitment in building international-level performers.

Congratulations, Sneha. Wishing you success as you represent India with pride on the global stage.
