Sneha Selected to Represent India at World Athletics Relays 2026

Congratulations to my student Sneha! I am proud to share that my student, Sneha, has been selected to represent India at the 2026 World Athletics Relays. The competition will be held on May 2–3, 2026, at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone, marking a historic first as the event is hosted in Africa. She will compete in the 4×100m relay representing the Indian team. This achievement reflects her dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work. As her coach, I feel extremely proud to see her reach this international level. I first noticed Sneha during the Senior National Meet. After she began training under me at Alva’s University, she showed remarkable progress. Under my guidance, she has achieved: • 3 international medals, including at the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 • National Games Gold (Goa) • Strong performances in Senior Federation, Inter-State, Open National, and Indian Grand Prix competitions • All India University medals in 100m & 200m • Khelo India medal • A total of 18 national medals • Personal best performance of 11.41 seconds in 100m at the Bangalore Grand Prix 2023 under my training Later, as per the guidance of the National Chief Coach Radhakrishnan Sir, she joined the Indian camp focusing on relay training. Today, seeing her compete in the World Relays in Africa fills me with immense pride. She is the first athlete trained under me to compete at the senior world level. I must also acknowledge that behind all these achievements stands the strong support of Alva’s Chairman, Dr. Mohan Alva. His care, encouragement, and constant support have played a crucial role in shaping this journey and bringing us to this level. I would also like to specially mention the support of HRDS INDIA Chief Aji Krishnan Sir. His encouragement has played an important role in Sneha’s progress, including her recent Asian medal achievements. Congratulations, Sneha! – International Athletic Coach Dr. Ajithkumar
